DC PLC is the technology that provides the communication between the lock and the door. This communication is needed, for example, when the lock is operated from a keypad or fingerprint scanner, but also to detect break-ins. The DC PLC technology does away with the need for a cable for the communication between the lock and the door, which achieves a very long life cycle and minimises vulnerability. As well as communication, this technology also sees to the power supply for the LED indicator on the door, for example. The use of the DC PLC technology is also hugely cost-effective. Put simply: a smart invention!
